At Teeth & Face, we use the iTero Lumina intraoral scanner to map your teeth in precise 3D detail. Within minutes of your consultation, you’ll see exactly what your new smile will look like, including a realistic in-face simulation. Treatment typically takes between 6 and 12 months, and with Dental Monitoring, you can track your progress remotely between appointments, which means fewer visits and greater peace of mind.

Consultation

We start by getting to know you - your lifestyle, your history, and your smile goals. Dr Gurprit will talk you through everything and design your bespoke treatment plan around you. We then carry out a full iTero Lumina scan of your teeth so you can see your results before treatment even begins.

Your Treatment Plan

Dr Gurprit designs your personalised treatment plan based on your scan and your goals. Your custom aligners are then precision-made to gradually shift your teeth into position.

Wearing Your Aligners

You'll wear your aligners for 22 hours a day, changing to a new set weekly. They're virtually invisible, removable, comfortable and life carries on as normal.

Progress Monitoring

You'll come in for regular check-in appointments so Dr Gurprit can assess your progress. Between visits, Dental Monitoring allows us to track your treatment remotely meaning fewer visits and total peace of mind.

Retention

Once your treatment is complete you'll be fitted with retainers to keep your new smile exactly where it should be. Your results are designed to last.

How long does Invisalign® take?

Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case. Most patients complete their Invisalign® treatment in between 6 and 18 months. Gurprit will give you a clear timeline during your consultation once she has assessed your teeth and designed your bespoke treatment plan.

Does Invisalign® treatment hurt?

Mild discomfort is sometimes experienced, which can be alleviated with your usual headache medication. The first day–week will take some getting used to. After that, patients are comfortable and are able to integrate it easily into their lifestyles.

Is Invisalign a good choice for me?

With over 20 million smiles transformed already, most people are suitable for Invisalign. This will be confirmed at your Consultation appointment.

What if I have an Invisalign® emergency?

With the nature of Invisalign®, there really isn’t ever a true emergency. You will also be monitored via Invisalign Virtual Care which means we can assess clearly what is happening in your mouth remotely. But if you need anything at all, you can get in touch with us through a phone call, text message, email or social media. We would be happy to help, and pride ourselves on our good service.

How long will my Invisalign® treatment take?

Most treatments take 6-12 months, longer treatments take 12-24 months. At your Consultation, we will let you know how long your treatments will take.

Is Invisalign® invisible?

It is very discreet, and depending on how much of your teeth you actually show during talking and smiling, no one really notices it. You have little tooth coloured buttons, called attachments, on your teeth during treatment. These are also discreet.

Will my speech be affected by Invisalign® treatment?

Mild speech disruption can occur, which lasts for a couple of days.

Can children have Invisalign®?

Yes they can! It is a great alternative to the traditional fixed brace for children. They like it because it is more discreet, fits easily into their lifestyle and they can eat what they like. More complex smiles will need to be referred to a Specialist Orthodontist.

Are Teeth & Face Specialist Orthodontists?

We are not Specialists. Our Dentists have acquired post graduate training in orthodontics and some of them have an Invisalign® Clear Aligner Diploma. This means they can deliver amazing results for their happy patients, every single day!

How long can you leave Invisalign out?

Invisalign aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, so you only take them out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to clean your teeth. That leaves roughly 2 to 4 hours out across the day. Leaving them out longer slows your progress and can let your teeth shift back.

How fast does Invisalign work?

Many patients notice small changes within the first few weeks, but the full result takes time. A typical course runs from around 6 months for minor corrections to 12 to 18 months for more complex cases, depending on how consistently you wear the aligners.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Invisalign isn't usually painful, but it's normal to feel mild pressure or tenderness for a day or two each time you move to a new aligner. It settles quickly. Sharp or lasting pain isn't expected, so tell your dentist if that happens.
